Hampstead Hospital & Residential Treatment Facility (HHRTF) is an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital and a residential treatment program that treats children, adolescents, and young adults.
HHRTF is located in a beautiful setting in southern New Hampshire that provides plenty of outdoor areas to play, walk, and promote well-being.

How you make a difference:
The Safety Ambassador Coordinator (SAC) at Hampstead Hospital Residential Treatment Facility (HHRTF) position is an entry-level role that focuses on ensuring a secure environment for child and adolescent patients and staff at the Hampstead Hospital and Residential Treatment Facility.
The SAC is responsible for performing a wide range of safety assignments, conducting inspections of the facility's physical plant, and monitoring ingress and egress points for staff and patients.
The position also requires completing reports, responding to emergencies, and following all policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Key
Responsibilities:
Performs a wide range of safety assignments within the HHRTF, including safety checks, inspections, rounds, and monitoring of ingress and egress points for staff and patients.
Completes reports and monitors video surveillance in accordance with Patient Observation policies, coordinates with external security, and notifies authorities when assistance is needed.
Interacts with the public and follows all policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of child and adolescent patients and staff at the HHRTF.
Provides emergency responses and acts as a role model for patients during crises or conflicts, using verbal de-escalation techniques to control disruptive behavior when possible.
Responds appropriately to physical and verbal altercations between patients to ensure a safe and salutary environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience Must be at least 18 years of age.
Prior work experience with psychiatric patients in a hospital or secure mental health setting preferred, with a focus on patient safety.
Experience with children/adolescents in a residential treatment center or hospital setting highly desirable.
Licenses/Certifications CPR Certification (within 3 months of hire) CPI Certification (within 3 months of hire) Compliance Aligned with NH's System of Care, supporting services that are:
