Long Term Care positions are currently per diem up to four 8-hour shifts a weekRn license requiredInteract professionally with residents, physicians, family members, CCNH medical staff, visitors and government agencies.
o Respond quickly and with poise to emergencieso Function with minimal supervisiono IV certified or intention to beo CPR/BLS certifiedThe Licensed Practical nurse maintains ultimate responsibility for the delivery of resident care during a specific shift on a designated unit.
o Maintain awareness of care planso Conduct clinical rounds on assigned unit several times during the shifto Maintain confidentiality of all resident related care information to ensure HIPAA complianceo Confirm the identity of residents prior to providing care, treatments, medications or serving mealso Monitor and ensure completion of LNA flow sheetso Recognize emergency clinical situations, assess immediate needs , implement appropriate intervention and communicate situation to the nursing supervisoro Immediately report all medication errors and sentinel events to the nursing supervisoro Ensure that all medications and controlled substances are administered, documented and stored in compliance with pharmacy and facility policieso Attain appropriate CEUs to maintain LPN Licensureo Perform all duties in a safe, non-hazardous mannerNurses must be flexible and reliable when they maintain Agency employment, as they are whom an organization relies on to support regular employee leaves, vacations and time off.
