Hampstead Hospital & Residential Treatment Facility (HHRTF) is an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital and a residential treatment program that treats children, adolescents, and young adults.
HHRTF is located in a beautiful setting in southern New Hampshire that provides plenty of outdoor areas to play, walk, and promote well-being.
Children deserve to have healthy and happy childhoods so that they can grow into wholesome and happy adults.

How you make a difference:
The Counselor Aide position at Hampstead Hospital Residential Treatment Facility (HHRTF) involves establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and maintaining a therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit.
They are also responsible for providing basic patient care services and ensuring that the work environment is clean and organized.
This position requires the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Key
Responsibilities:
Establish a therapeutic relationship with patients and assist them with daily living activities.
Facilitate activity groups and provide input to the treatment team for evaluation of the plan of care.
Maintain an orderly work environment and communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and outside referral agencies.
Perform medical record documentation in accordance with applicable standards and participate in hospital safety training programs and performance improvement activities.
Continuously update knowledge in the field of psychiatric care and perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education High School diploma.
Experience Previous experience within a psychiatric setting is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications CPR Certification (within 3 months of hire) CPI Certification (within 3 months of hire) Compliance Corporate Compliance (within 2 months of hire) Aligned with NH's System of Care, supporting services that are:
family-driven, youth-guided, community-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally and linguistically competent.
